What did the camel say to the scribe?

in My Life
Nobody knows, except Janelle and she isn’t telling.
This question came up at lunch the other day with friends after church. For a minute I sat back and looked at all the ruckus, 6 adults, 7 children, and felt very happy. We are blessed to have friends that are the funniest, wittiest, generous, most thoughtful people we know. (You guys can buy me lunch next week) And there are more of them too.
Summer has been busy but not too exciting. Friday we are going to get an ultasound and hopefully find out the gender of this child. But before that happens I thought it’d be fun to have the four of you that read this to guess what the gender is and why. There are so many “old wives tales” for guessing gender. The other day someone told me I was having a boy because I don’t look pregnant from the back. Not sure why the two things would correlate, but that’s what I’m looking for. So please, give me your thoughts. The truth revealed (hopefully) on Friday.

but wait… that’s not fair! I haven’t seen you in a while, so I can’t make an educated guess unless you post a picture of your pregnant belly… PLEASE!!!!

Well, from the peanut gallery- Jack and Sam say “boy” and Katie Mei says “girl”. I am not sure- leaning towards boy, but just am not sure. No wives tales- just feeling. And, if it is a boy, you better keep him away from those dang Markmiller kids.

You’re having a boy! No need for an ultrasound. Women’s intuition is a powerful thing!Charlie agrees with me (smart boy). Sophie thinks it’s a girl, but everyone knows that girl’s intuition is nowhere near as accurate as women’s intuition. It takes years to perfect, you know. Just don’t forget that I have a certain picture that can be yours for only a phone call!!!!

Brandon says it’s a boy because Judah needs to give you the same pleasures that Esther does when he spends the night with his buddy.
My uneducated guess – only because we’re kind of rooting for a boy being that they have recently been born in abundance, it’ll most likely be a girl to throw us all off. Murphy’s law. Which would be great – another Davies girl who’ll grow up to be a great catch for one of those recently born boys. I didn’t see you pregnant with Emma so I can’t make a guess in terms of how you’re carrying. We can always hang a ring from a string over you tummy and see which way it sways or spins. Maybe light incense and see what the smoke spells out. Can’t wait ’til August 1st!

This is from Jen…
okay… i totally don’t buy the “you can’t tell from the back” thing because that’s how victory carried this last pregnancy and violet was, and is, in fact, a girl.
i think you’re having a girl.
by the way, is that what i was supposed to guess, or am i guessing what the camel said to the scribe?
Jul 30, 2008 @ 14:33:14
Of course, if anyone can guess what the camel said, please add that as well.
I was reminded that I do know the answer to that, which will come later.

I’m going to say boy. Given that you are feeling so different from your pregnancy with Emma. But, if you use the Chinese Horoscope gender predictor, you’ll know for sure. he he he… http://www.chineseastrologyonline.com/predictsex.htm It’s on the web, so you know it’s accurate.
